FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 25, 2020
Glenn and Becky Brok have announced that Rowayton, a Grade 1-placed son of leading sire Into Mischief has been retired and will enter stud at their Diamond B Farm in Mohrsville, PA in 2021.
Rowayton won his first start in a Maiden Special at Del Mar and in his second start ran second to Champion Game Winner in the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity. He ran third in the Grade 1 American Pharoah Stakes in his third start.
Rowayton is out of the Indian Charlie mare Rosemonde, which is a half sister to Champion Miss Mischief.
Says Brok, “Rowayton displayed his brilliant speed winning at Belmont Park where he was only 2/5 over the track record blazing 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:14 2/5 when he was trained by Don Chatlos. His sire is enjoying incredible success and being from the family of Champion Proud Spell, we feel like he will be a very important addition to the stallion ranks in the Mid-Atlantic region.”
Rowayton was campaigned by OXO Equine LLC and was bred in Kentucky by H. Allen Poindexter. He will enter stud for an introductory fee of $5,000. The Brok’s will announce a breeding incentive plan for breeders to earn a lifetime breeding right in the near future.
