A colt by Nyquist purchased for $400,000 by West Point Thoroughbreds (LEB agent) from the Scanlon Training & Sales consignment on the first day of the OBS March 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale on March 10, was the only Maryland-bred sold of three offered during the three-day auction in Central Florida. 

Bred by Bowman & Higgins Stable, R. Larry Johnson and RDM Racing Stable, Hip #114 is the first foal out of multiple stakes-placed Lookin Dynamic, a Lookin At Lucky mare from a family developed over decades by longtime leading Maryland breeder Robert E. Meyerhoff.

A half-sister to stakes winners Another Broad and Dynamic Strike, Lookin Dynamic is out of the stakes winner Dynamic Deputy (by Deputy Minister), a full sister to graded stakes-winning two-time Maryland-bred champion Star Minister and half-sister to three additional stakes horses, including Ohio Derby-G2 winner Stellar Brush.

The son of Nyquist was the $370,000 sales topper from the consignment of Becky Davis at last fall's Fasig-Tipton Midlantic yearling sale in Timonium. He is the most expensive yearling sold at the fall sale since 2016.
