MOHRSVILLE, PA (November 24, 2013) - Top freshman sire Talent Search and multiple graded stakes winner and Gr. 1-placed Doubles Partner will join the 2014 stallion roster at Glenn and Becky Brok’s Diamond B Farm in Mohrsville, Pa.

Talent Search, who stood his first three seasons at Diamond B before moving to Ken and Sarah Ramsey’s Ramsey Farm in Kentucky for the 2013 breeding season, is ranked among the nation’s top 15 freshman stallions with total progeny earnings of $269,735.
He is the leading freshman sire in the mid-Atlantic region, as well as the top freshman sire in Pennsylvania.
Talent Search’s progeny have won on the sport’s biggest stages, including Saratoga, Keeneland and Churchill Downs, with his top performer being graded stakes-placed Hollywood Talent ($110,685), who placed in the Gr. 2 Sanford Stakes at Saratoga and the Gr. 3 Bashford Manor Stakes at Churchill Downs. He is also the sire of maiden special weight winners He’s Got Talent, Big Blue Talent, and Searchin for Dames.
Talent Search, a son of Catienus, was a precocious, multiple stakes-winning, Grade 1-placed runner with blazing speed. He broke his maiden in his first start at 2, and captured the Jim McKay Stakes and the Teddy Drone Stakes by a combined 12-1?4 lengths.
Talent Search ran second in the Gr. 1 Vosburgh Stakes (six furlongs in 1:09.22) and the Gr. 1 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Stakes (six furlongs, 1:09.86), and was third in the Gr. 1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint, behind champion Midnight Lute (six furlongs, 1:09.18). He retired with a record of six wins from 15 starts, and $603,360.
Doubles Partner, a 6-year-old son of Rock Hard Ten out of Serena’s Sister, by Rahy, won or placed in seven graded stakes, including victories in the Gr. 2 American Turf Stakes, the Gr. 3 Tampa Bay Stakes, and the Gr. 3 Canadian Turf Stakes.
A winner from ages 2 through 6, he placed in the Gr. 1 Maker’s 46 Mile Stakes (to Data Link, defeating millionaire and Gr. 1 winner Get Stormy) and the Gr. 1 Woodford Reserve Turf Classic (to Get Stormy, defeating Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Court Vision and Gr. 1 winner Teaks North).
Bred in Florida by Arthur I. Appleton, and campaigned by WinStar Farm LLC, Doubles Partner retired with a record of six wins from 21 starts, and $684,950. He is out of a full sister to champion and Hall of Fame inductee Serena’s Song, and hails from the family of graded stakes winners Sophisticat, Grand Reward and Harlington.
“We are very excited to welcome Talent Search and Doubles Partner to our farm for the 2014 season,” said Glenn Brok. “Talent Search has had an outstanding start to his stallion career, siring the graded stakes-placed Hollywood Talent, as well as winners at the country’s most prestigious race meets. Doubles Partner is a very talented racehorse that competed in top-class competition over five seasons, and has a tremendous female family. We think both horses represent a tremendous value and opportunity for Pennsylvania breeders.”
The duo joins Diamond B stallions Got the Last Laugh, Mad Flatter and Senor Swinger for 2014. All stand for a fee of $2,500, live foal.
