Stanton, Del - The Delaware Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (DTHA) is holding their 2nd Annual stallion auction January 5 – 12, 2014. The format for the auction this year will be online. We are pleased to be working with thoroughlybred.com, which operates much like eBay.

The Delaware Certified Thoroughbred Program (DCTP) will waive the application fee for the progeny from Stallion Seasons purchased at this auction for the 2014 breeding season.

“We are excited to work with thoroughlybred.com this year. This site has proven to provide excellent results with their online stallion auctions. We have seasons donated from 10 different states, which offer options for breeders across the country. Thoroughbred breeding has hit its lowest point and we need to continue to get breeders back into the breeding shed, as well as increase business at farms and stallion stations. This auction is another tool to encourage both things to happen.” said Michael Gorham, DTHA President. “We appreciate the support we’ve received from the farms that have generously donated stallion seasons.

Stallion seasons are still being accepted. To donate or view a complete list of available stallions go to www.dtha.com or call the Horsemen’s Office at (302) 994-2521 ext. 7284.
