D. D. Withers created it, Colonel William P. Thompson had great plans for it, legendary Hall of Fame horseman James G. Rowe Sr. utilized it, and Harry Payne Whitney preserved it. For more than half a century, Brookdale Farm was the base of operation for some of the most powerful stables in the world.
