Consigned by Ciaran Dunne's Wavertree Stables, the sales-topper was sold to Irish bloodstock agent Demi O'Byrne, bidding for the partnership that includes John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith. Out of the Silver Ghost mare Cool Ghoul and half-brother to stakes winner Dagnabi, the colt was listed as sold for $220,000 to IEAH Stables at the 2011 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale. He breezed an eighth in :10.20 at the pre-sale under-tack show and comes from classic winner Big Brown's first crop. The sales topper was bred by Landson Robbins and Tom Hansen.
The second highest priced horse to sell was another PA-bred, a Distorted Humor colt consigned by agent Lynne Martin Boutte. Purchased by John Ferguson Bloodstock, the colt brought $1.2 million. He breezed an eighth in :10.20. Bred in Pennsylvania by Brushwood Stable, the colt was a $180,000 purchase at the 2011 Keeneland September Yearling Sale  by Barry K. Schwartz. Out of an unraced Storm Cat mare Secret Thyme, the colt lists champions Silverbulletday and Arts and Letters in his immediate family.
